The Buffalo Poker Run featured everything from an 18-foot Cigarette to a 42-foot Outerlimits. It was a great bit melting pot. As Tim Sharkey put it in the forums, “Everyone that was out on this Poker Run came here for the same reason, to enjoy themselves and boat together. Key word being ‘TOGETHER.’ So many people running side by side at a safe speed and not passing the Pace Boats was a pleasure to witness. No egos were found and no one tried to turn it into a race.
“Everyone mingled with everyone no matter if it was an 18-foot boat, a big Outerlimits, or even a Rinker or a Sea Ray for that matter! This had to be one of the best recent events I have witnessed to see so much camaraderie. It reminded me of when I started Poker Running in my 13-footer with the NJPPC and I was pleasantly welcomed by the owners of over a half a million dollar boats. Camaraderie like that keeps the clubs growing.”
