Description:
I have owned this scarab for 10 years. It is well maintained and overall in good, serviceable condition. Port engine is 2005 Gen VI 502/415HP roller crate/carb. Starboard engine is 2006 Gen VI 502/415HP roller crate/carb. This scarab originally came with 454/330HP carb engines. Port Bravo 1 is original. Starboard Bravo 1 was replaced due to theft with a 1997 HP unit. Both are 1.5 ratio. Currently has 25P 3-blade Merc props. Both engines are custom closed loop with big block heat exchangers along w/thru hulls and sea strainers. Stock thru-hull exhaust systems, no mufflers. Cockpit/hatch completely reupholstered using 'star-board'; no wood, lasts forever. Console updated with custom powder-coated bezels and performance guages. Speedo is GPS. Original Keikeiffer controls and indicators w/new cables. Custom hidden 16 GL stainless water tank w/external pump/filter/deck hose. Rheostat controled cockpit lighting. The cabin is original and clean. The finishing touch was the custom arch w/bimini top. Shade is a good thing. Also supports the VHF and XM antennae, and a solar panel. Trailer is a 1998 triple-axle Load-Rite. New cockpit cover. Custom full cover. I have done much work to keep this boat clean, simple and reliable. It's not the fastest boat out there, nor perfect, but it get's you out there safely and reliably, and the ride in these older scarabs are second to none. This is a good, first time, inexpensive entry to performance boating. I have a new interest in a yacht, and this boat has to go. It is priced very fairly with the trailer, but is negotiable. Please, serious interest only. Classic/muscle car trades of equal/close to APPRAISED value (40/45K range) considered (prefer 1967 - 72 GM only) as my cash asking price is a giveaway. Must be rust free, perfect body and paint, close to original as possible, excellent running condition, NO projects, clear title! What do you have? Thank you.
