This poor bastard!

Ok, something similar happened to me several years ago. Not nearly as bad, but it is true.
I woke up one morning and did an “adjustment” under the covers. Part of the waking up routine, just making sure everything was in it’s proper position. Well, while I was doing this, our cat was sitting on the headboard (flat-top storage type), and the movement under the covers caught his eye. I assume he then crouched down, flattened his ears out, and launched. Being half awake, all I saw was a big black blur fly over my head and thought “Hey, where’d he come from? OH SHI...” when the impact occurred. No warning at all, just fifteen pounds of cat concentrated on two paws to the jewels. That was pain that lasted most of the morning, but it was Saturday, so I didn’t have to call in.
