They were even gounging on the first PT Cruisers. How would you like to be the guy who paid over list for a PT Cruiser?
My philosophy- don't buy one. If some other fool wants to get boned on over-paying for something they'll be spitting out like watermelon seeds in 6 months to a year, let him.
As far as the gouging practice being "wrong", take a look at what Porsche, Ferarri, Bentley and others do. They limit availability and charge exhorbitant prices for what they produce.

I hear you guys on the bumped up pricing over sticker ..... BUT , it is kinda funny to hear a bunch of "offshore powerboat" guys ***** about paying too much for something ... Thats what this whole sport is about !!!!

If you are buying it for looks, then you'll be fine, but as a go fast car you'll be wasting your money.......the only srt8 vehicle I would even consider for performance is the Jeep GC SRT8, they are running harder than the chargers. Dodge just has no aftermarket.
