Jesse james 48 foot conquest raced what years?

Last I heard it was in Arizona in a warehouse. It is owned by some Japanese people who have been neglecting it for many years..... It lay outdoors in California for probably 10+ years and was stripped of drives, transmissions, safety gear, interior...etc.......

I remember the Cali days what a shame to see it sitting there like a pile of garbage that thing was a work of art less the engine program

You are right (If i hit the lotto) I did here it was in Japan...I was curious how it would compete against today boats.
Considering its roughly the same size as a Mystic, could it compete with the same power?
I also heard that Steve at Legacy Marine was going to do a restoration on the boat...not sure what happened with that...

Is somebody seriously thinking of restoring/reviving the JJ 48? If this is correct, then please let me know. I would be very interested to talk with the restoration "team" about this. I have some ideas to consider. Post your address here (or PM me) and I will respond to that. Thanks in advance.

Without the original rudders, gear boxes, drives, and props, I think any restoration would be a waste of time and money. They were a major part of what made the boat so unique.

I was going through alot of things I had in storage recently and I came across some of the original drawings we did for the paint job on the 48..
If someone does decide to "restore" her, I would be interested in talking to them.
