FredZ - 1.5/just about 6 grand on the revs!
Stepped hull 27's are significantly faster on average than straight bottom hulls if all other variables are the same. Not sure about exact numbers. I can tell you 650 hp in an older straight bottom was showing aroung 80 mph. I dont think speed numbers would be linear though. As the step 27 increases speed, it seems to need less hp to gain more mph; shes very efficient aero and hydro-dynamically.

Not that you'd be running big numbers in rough water with a 27' boat, but I presume these are good in the rough? What is the hull based on? I presume it's a stretched 24x7?

The hull is from Bill Farmer's 27 Excalibur. Wellcraft bought the molds in 84-85 and made them for a few years then Activator bought them. Years later the steps were added.
