Re: New 29 Activator
Tim,
Interesting indeed!
The most notable feature that shares similarities between the two crafts is the top of the fairing. The small raised section that runs the perimeter of the fairing. It should be effective in diverting the air, up over the occupants.
I have been thinking of this for my own Activator.
I am not one to start drilling holes without making sure the deflector will work. I have made up aluminum prototypes. Not happy with the outcome as of yet.
Mark and company must be planning a spectacular debut as there has not been much in the line of press or pics for the 29.

Looking forward to it JC!
Russ, It is amazing what an inch or two will to do to change the air flow and water for that matter if you take one over the bow.
On one of my 13 footers I had a fiberglass windscreen I made up. It was great when it came time to stuff. The water would simply shoot up over the cockpit and engine. I would just duck out of the way.....

Re: New 29 Activator
Sooooo . . . . how's this 29'er related to the 32'er ? ? ?
Is the 32 a Stretched 29'er ? - is the 29 a dammed 32'er ? .. . Totally different and separate hulls ?
On a big day - which would you rather run ?
I have this 'thing' for Activators right about now. Specially the bigger ones. They look like a pretty nice solution to 'gas price vs performance' in the 30 to 35 range - single vs twins. . . . or am I way wrong ?

Re: New 29 Activator
The lime green Dimarco Activator I think was actually BJ's boat. Not sure if it still his or not but that is a 27 similar to the one he raced years back with Mark S. from Activator.
Looking forward to seeing the new 29' and seeing how it runs. I am sure it will be fast like the 27'.
