Before buying my 28 AT with a single big block, I asked the same question. I was told the single big block gives better balance than twin small blocks.
The 28' AT with a single is a well balanced boat.

Chris, Thanks for the reply....I was just thinking about reliabiltiy also.

1 Big Block with big numbers and a Bravo Drive = Drive issues

2 somewhat "mild" 450HP small blocks with Bravo Drives = ?

Just tossin' it around!! Winter time and the mind just starts to wonder!! I'm outta here...Off to the AC boat show!!

I had one with Merc 350mags & Bravo's. I bought it from Jafo on this board & sold it to mobuzz, a lurker on OSO.

It was great for me and I wasn't trying to sell it, but Paul really wanted one with twins. The boat was well balanced, but sat a little lower in the water than the ones with singles.

I think I remember Pat saying there were 2 or 3 made.

I was the first owner of the 99 all white one that Jafo boat from Pat after i traded pat for a 32

For my first boat, that 28 was great with the 350 mags

It was the 2nd 28 with twins Pat made, well ballanced, never a problem. If you are going to move up to your first twin engine boat, thats a great one
