99 tantrum - thinking of purchasing - need opinons

I looked at this boat last Friday. It has been surveyed and looks to be in great shape. No stress cracks in the gel coat and the engine looks great as well. Needs a gimble replacement (but the owner will have that done before purchase) Repowered NOT rebuilt in 2003. Hardly been used the last 3 seasons. Stored indoors. Any thoughts? Also thoughts on cost / offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

not yet... hopefully soon.... you think the price is on the mark? The boat has 354 hours on the gauge... The owner says it has tops 30 hours on the engine since it was repowered.. (no way to prove that but very nice guy, seems trustworthy)

that seems like to going rate for those boats. they are a great boat for the size. Ijust wonder about the gimbel, must gave done alot of jumping or somthing, but if he's fixing it so what

Another issue is he is selling through a broker on consignment. You know he is giving up 5 - 10% of the sale price.. I bet he is looking for 35K but is selling at 39.9K to make up the commission.. Thinking of waiting then trying to get in touch with him directly and do a side deal.

hey OCD, sorry haven't been around all weekend

Got my 25 in August, and love it. handles great in the bigger stuff, and is pretty fast for the hp. Was gonna look at that one if I didn't like the one I got. That should cruize with that motor, mine's got a 502 w about 450hp or so. mine was a 97 with about 400hr, freshwater. the guy was a freak about maintaining it, and caring for it. My gimbal seems alittle sloppy but still handles great. hopefully by spring I'll have some $$ to upgrade a few things. Have nothing but positive to say about it, good luck and enjoy!!

should have held out for a cheaper price though, but this guy didn't budge that much, got it for 36, he was asking 39 or 38 if i remember

He also had a cosignment ad but I dealt with him directly, but I learned about it here not on their site

I had to go back to another thread to ck it myself. I looked at the reg #s,,, I was at first floored thinking you were selling.
