Yes and first of all, TSPM is a respected person.
Yes, he stands to gain unless 100% goes to the charity.
Many of those checks will be stale-dated if he doesn't cash them soon... so they may not be honored.
And... in most states it is illegal to move the drawing date after it has been publicized. We moved a drawing date once for one of my raffles and we had to send out 6500 letters to ticket holders making them aware of the change.
I don't think he is dishonest. I just don't think that he has a lot of experience with raffles and has had a learning curve on this.

I'm pretty sure that Overactive507 owns the boat......at least he said he did in other threads.
I highly doubt that this raffle will ever happen. I just don't think enough tickets will be sold.

At some point it needs a final date if the owner takes a bit lower than he wants or not , it is only fare to all the ticket holders,,, just my 0/2
ps we never get what we want out of a boat so this should be no diffrent.
