Additional Power Steering Pump
I currently have one power steering pump on one motor in my 1994 32' AT. I would like to put an additional working pump on the second motor, for those unexpected times a motor goes down during operation. How do I go about this and do I need any special hardware? I have seen photos of pumps on both motors that appear to be connected and both fully functional at all times. Any tips or ideas would be helpful!!

CP has a kit that will do it...for about 400 bucks. You should be able to find some info in a search. Seems to me you should be able to put one-way valve on the pressure side, tee it together before the char-lynn valve and then have a common return reservoir that serves as overflow to both pumps.
Planning on doing this to a boat before too long as well, but plan to shop around and should be able to piece the parts together for less than 4 hundo.
