Had a 875'hp and Bravo XR with no probs at couple of 100h. Sold the boat w/o motor and as far I know the guy runs the same drive behind a 600hp motor and no probs.
I changed oil every 10h - a big homemade drive shower and foot throttle.

the bravo gear made a clean break, no damage to teeth, or anything else. gear material just not strong enough to handle power. used xz gear next to it is identical, and those seem to break teeth. not bust in half.
