Default bravo1 vs 800hp

Ok, that seems to be the limit. fist time floored yesterday, snapped the drive still dont know my top speed DAMM IT.

The only chance a bravo 1 would have behind 800hp single . It would have to be a very small and light boat . Baby it out of the hole and only turn a 3 blade . Break these rules Break bravo's !

Clock starts ticking when you buy a Bravo drive. Mine broke twice with less than 500 hp. It really isn't hp that breaks them its Torque. Your best bet is to ditch the bravo.

I used a b-max upper with a imco lower. 950 hp. I broke one prop shaft and up graded to imcos hd bearing carier and shaft. Have not had any problems.

Curious, What IMCO lower are you using? And what size prop shaft did you break? What size are you using now?

I knew the drive would break, but it did hang in there last season with 740hp. I couldn't have babied it anymore, flat water/slow throttle up/ minimal trim., just wanted to know top speed before a -2 shorty..o well at least its still freezing cold and not mid summer.

it is a -2 sc case. I broke the 1 inch shaft and replaced it with the 1 7/16 inch. It comes with a different carrier as well. The gears are merc xr
