I agree in 3-5s 60s is enough. The hull can handle more speed than 60 is all I was going after. These boats are solid

Just out of curiosity, how many 600sc Tantrum's were produced. If my research serves me correctly the 600sc's are pretty bulletproof when left in stock form, but they're fairly thirsty motors. Seems like a pretty nice set up if you ask me.

I have a 00' tantrum with a 500EFI. It's been warmed over and a normal running day at 3800-4200 rpm's I get 2 mpg. I did a poker run the other year and I was spinning 4500++ for 100 miles and I did 1.68 mpg.

Love to have more hp.. but sadly spend most time just cruisin around 50, nice comfortable speed and easy on the equipment and wallet!!

The Tantrum's with the 600SC is an awesome setup. I would contact AT boats, the owner of AT boats often post on here. I may be wrong but I think, when new, the Tantrums with a 600Sc list for about 130K MSRP. There is one on here for sale and it runs phenomenally, I have seen it run on the Chesapeake Bay. The owner gets all his work done at MGD performance Inc.

Something tells me my marine vessell savings fund would have a much higher balance if I wasn't paying a tick over $400.00 a month in student loans. Whoever lands this thing should post an immense amount of photo's, the boat's real slick.

yup. Dave at MDG is how I found the Cig I'm going to get after I find a buyer for the Tantrum. He maintained and did all the work on that as well. I have no problems and that setup is great.

My Tantrum just arrived from California yesterday, love the layout of the boat and how much room is in the bilge, but the bolsters are a little tight, I am 6ft, 220lbs
