Default 32 Active Thunder, Thunderstruck?

I was at Pier57 yesterday and came across a 1998 32 AT. The interior appeared to be in bad shape but the hull is good. It has around 800 hours. After doing a google search, I think it's Thunderstruck's old boat from Louisiana. Does anybody know the history of this boat? What were the original engines? Pier 57 will be rehabbing it with twin bulldogs and going through the drives, XR uppers and IMCO lowers I believe. Any guesses on top speed with the bulldogs??? Any idea on the cost to add silent choice and a tubular platform?

I think Pier57 will be listing the boat at 60k, is that high/low?

John

The 99 that was for sale in Oklahoma was sold for 49k. Had 496 mag HO's and bravo X's I think. If the motors are fresh, they go through the drives, and hopefully they do something with the paint I'd say 60k is a realistic number. Hopefully they boat is in better shape than the trailer. Lol. What does the interior look like?

Yep, that's Tom's old boat from Louisiana. I haven't talked to him in a few years, so not sure what's transgressed. He wasn't using the boat much and was passively trying to sell it. It had 600HP motors in it, and I'll always remember that boat embarrassing some other 38 footers coming back from the Key West Poker Run many years ago in some snotty stuff on the outside of the Keys.

The interior is DIRTY, and its full of ugly purple carpet.

It wasn't like that when Tom owned it. 2 weeks outside will do that to an all white interior. The boat was babied.

I would say a 60k asking price is on the high side, but it really will depend on the overall finished product.

The boat is actually very nice. Interior is in very good shape, just needs a good cleaning.

We bought this boat and planned to put Mercury 454 Magnums in it but during the time in which we were prepping the motors a two owner local boat was traded in with 120 original hour Mercury 540C.I. Bulldog 500's. These are great motors and the boat traded in was just to fast and out of control with these motors so we installed them in this Thunder and putting the 454 Magnums in the other boat. The Thunder will have Bravo One uppers with XR Sportmaster lowers. This boat is in very good condition for its age and will clean up real nice. I am not 100% decided if we will sell right away or use this winter in FL for some boating. The boat should run low 80ish with this power as the last Thunder we restored with 500EFI ran right at 80 and these motors make a bit more power. Had a blowout on trailer and it caught fender, new fender on order. We hope to have boat done this week and water tested at which time we will put video up.

Thank you

Pier 57
