Default advantage victory 28 top speed?

Hey guys,(& gals), Looking at buying an 03 Advantage Victory OB 28,& was wondering about top speeds? I found a test from a power boat mag that claimed 64 on radar. Its a 496 HO w / bravo 1x. Was wondering about props at low elevation & really high elevation? Anyone with experience with this hull/ power combo? Looked at the boat & just waiting on the bank now. Love the boat, just curious about achievable speeds. Haven't even got it yet & already lookng at upgrades! Let the addiction begin!

Wow, thanks for the info! Very insightful. Anyway, I got the loan, close on Tuesday, will be on Havasu Wednesday playing with it( my new boat ). I drove it last week & it would only go bout 55 before bouncing off the rev limiter. Has a 22p on it now. I think it will work good at my home lake (Blue Mesa, 8500'), but wanted to go to mabye a 24 or 26 for Powell. Guess we'll see!

I have a 2003 28 BR with 575 SCI's and ITS. Top MPH is 78 without chiller. I've found the drive X dimension on mine is deep with the ITS box. So 1-2 shorty should help. 28 needs a lot of HP. Get with BBlades and try different props for starters. Either way the 28 is a great boat with a nice ride.

Thanks for the info Advantage 575. I am going to contact Blades & get what I can out of it for now. Probably upgrade to a custom build motor next fall. I gotta get in the high 60's or low 70's! I had it at Havasu last week & gps 58 mph at 5000 rpm. Only has a b22 on it, like to try a 24 mabye a labed 24? We will see what Blades says.

My 28 with a single 575 will run 70, just bouncing off the rev limiter with 4 people, cooler of beer and a labbed 26 B1
