Is that a 2.3 or 3.3?? I thought the 3.3 had a sticker saying "3.3" on the side. I bought a Whipple that looks like yours but for a carb appliction. It was suppose to be a 3.3 but when I sent pics to Dustin he said it was a 2.3.

What was your speed before the install??

the studs that hold the ram together broke. i took it all apart and had it chromed, replaced the studs...

tried the prop out and the drive lost forward gear at about
95 mph..

now im doing drive reserch. most likely gonna get a new xr.

hate to say I told you so but I have to say "I told you so"
Thats why I run Bmax's- good drive
fought the drive problem for years-granted the XR is better than the modified Bravos I tried but several other boats I built engines for tried the big name outdrives other than Bmax and I have had to rebuild the a number of them because thet"big name outdrives" don't honor the waranty if a mercury part in the big name outdrive lets go.

hey Art,
what gear did you end up with? Im gonna try a 1.27 in a sport master case 1 1/2 shorter on a xr upper...30 bravo 4 blade....

Dustin says my pully should make 6 lbs..the gauge say 6 lbs
at 5400 rpm..this boat sure has alot of power...if i get the slip down its gonna haul ass...slip was between 16 and 18 %.

Re: Whipple On A Efi 500 Nsx

with the 144 CI small whipple you need a 2.875 upper pulley to make 7 psi boost. you will need atleast 7 psi boost to run 100 +.
the 1.27 with the 30 pitch is good. may have to get the 30 labbed. still think that you will not be able to raise the X 1.5 inches.

I need a 3 1/8 th top blue pully to make 7 lbs...anybody.

Mark at presion said computer is ok. any other worries...

boat was running 99 on gps with that ****ty bravo case, no nose cone and slip was 16 %..you can hit the rev limiter
with any prop.. with the 15 36 only 5200rpm

going to victory today to deal with lil bill...he seems to have it together over there..
