People say the flaps rattle, I would rather have a rattle then I would water in the motor. I had flaps on my scarab and they never rattled. Do you have a longer version of the mpg file?

I just recently put on new transom tips on my 99' 3100, after the old ones, which had rubber baffles, were pretty much worn away...........at any rate the new chrome tips have metal baffles, and everything seems to be working fine. If they are in fact rattling, I can't hear them over the sound of the engines anyway................

Based on my experience with both the old epdm rubber units, and the newer metal ones with the rubber seals, it will surely only help your situation.
