what is the gear ratio of the outdrive. most of the 454 boats powered with the procharger ran about 90 mph. Iis the engine a 454 magnum with square ports or the 7.4 with oval peanut ports. the magnums could take more boost and could last longer than the 7.4s because they have forged pistons , bigger cam and better breathing heads.

i do have a brand new set of hydromotive intimidator q4's ..... they are 26 pitch or 28 by 15 or 15.5 if i remember....

You have the 7.4 MPI motor which has the cast pistons and should be set up more conservatively than the 454 magnumfor good life. My best guess is that you can expect to get approximately 80 mph with this engine. If you have a 1.36 gear ratio the 28 pitch hydromotive should work just fine. if you have the 1.5 gear ratio you will need a 30 pitch bravo one prop. the gear ratio is marked on the sides of the outdrive.
At any rate I would put the 28 hydromotive on it to start and see what MPH and RPM ypu get. I don't know if the computer has been modified to let the engine rev to 5000 RPM or it is still limited to 4600 rpm. if you get up to 4600 rpm easily and hit the rev limiter then you know you need the 30 pitch bravo one or you can get the hydromotive re pitched to 29.
