Cool boat. Might need to step it up to a 5 blade or a herring

Genesis a related builder. It is a very similar bottom hull, many mfg's actually have similar bottom hulls.

I don't think either hull is capable of 85 with a 496 ho. That would require a 30 p (really 29.3 P) bravo 1 prop with 1.5 gear ratio to spin at 5100 rpm with 9% prop slip.

73 on gps is what the boat runs at with people and gas...It may be faster with one person and less fuel.

Don that is good news...my bottom hull is similar...that means that with some fine tuning better speed numbers are possible with this hull and a 496ho. I am running a 26p and getting 73 with people and gas turning 5000 rpm. working backwards my prop slip is at 9%....that is a fast hull for having the center sponson in the water.

I am using a 26p because I like the mid range power

Thanks for the info...

If you know anyone interested in my boat please let me know...the boat is stunning in person!

american offshore
Believe me there are differences in your bottom. I have seen them. Although Genesis builds American Offshore boats at that same facility they build the American Offshore boats to the American Offshore proprietary specifications. These construction specifications are the proprietary intellectual property of American offshore . I have done hundreds of hours of finite element structural analysis on the American offshore lay up scheduls to determine areas which reqired beefing up and those which were overkill when I bought the company and the original layup schedules. If they used the same build schedule on your boat then they have stolen American Offshore proprietary intellectual technology. They therefore should pay American offshore a licensing fee for this proprietary information which they should not be using use on other companys boats without american offshore's permission and believe me they do not have American offshore's permission to use it.
So my friend you either have a one of a kind or have a boat built using my proprietasry technology and you or Genesis owe me a licensing fee. Don't go passing your boat off as an American Offshore.

Slow down....It's not an American Offshore....it is a Genesis. I posted in this section of the forums because Genesis is a related builder.

The discussion of similar bottom hulls was related to speed numbers...AO, Genesis, and many other MFG's derived this hull from a Talon....This is not a secret.
