Blackhawk setup
If anyone is interested in trying out blackhawk drives email me directly at [email protected]. I gained just shy of 10 mph on my 25 Daytona just by bolting one on (96.8 before 106.1 after). That is with a lab prop on the bravo and stock on the blackhawk. I suspect there was 3-5mph left as I hit the rev limiter immeadiately (5800) using 31" props and 1.36 gears, which is the max on both. I also did lots of testing this summer with extension boxes and additional dirve hieght.
I would only recommend using them with 500hp or less single engine cats as it is still based on bravo gears. If I did it again, I would have just gone stock power with an extended warrantee and bolted on the drive, but I have more invested in the engine than I do in the drives.
The holeshot is great, no blow out rolling on plane, the acceleration is better than a bravo and it throws a 75ft rooster tail at cruising speeds that is nothing short of awsome.
