54 cold war

how many diesels would it take to get to it go over 60? what brand would you guys use.. what would you use to propell it, arnenson, no.6 or? what will it cost.. just testing the water,nothing serious..

2 Yanmar 480/965 and ASD8's...did a 43 Nortech that did 74.6 with that set up..

Another forum member, BobtheBuilder, has a 50 foot Northech with triple diesels. Triple 480's and ASD-8's I believe. The NorTech weighs about the same as the Apache, but is wider. Bob has his engines installed side by side versus Cold War having the center engine installed forward on a jackshaft. Bob does well over 60. I suspect the same setup would get cold War over 60 as well.

I am under the impression that the hull is for sale. The boat was derigged and all the equipment was used in another project for the owner.

that was the last I heard as well... Not sure where the rumor started about it being cut up so it might be...

I saw it over the summer, ugly looking phuck heard it was real heavy , and it was not cut up in july. I am sure if someone gets a wholed of the owner he can tell you more. and where you can buy it. he did take the power out and drives.
