Seems light but all you have to do is take it to the scale at a truck stop...

Desert Warrior basically the same boat with 6's weighed in at 14590 lbs

Just my .02 for what its worth. Sorry for disagreeing with you Mark.
as u said used parts..u know anyone who will guarentee the rebuild with used parts? not cheap..might be why mine had 3 stes of drives..ask dr gary...the housing r old and alumn..

If you put #6's on that boat you are going to have to move the engines, and redo the transom as well.

Arneson Surface Drives
would surely make it bullet proof plus take weight off the transom use less power, it's going to be interesting seeing how the few Apaches run with those drives

So far the INXS 47' Runs Great as well as the 42' Chief which runs exceptionally well.

Just make sure they get rid of the notch in the transom first....That way you can get the Arnesons all the way to the bottom

Hey Sean... check out this pic... I always wondered how this set up worked out. If that boat did a re-enter ass down.. you would think the transom would rip out right? The notch is in the boat and the surface drives are hangin out past the transom.
