Thanks for all of the responses. I gathered up my stuff, cash, and tow rig and heading to port clinton this morning. Let see if the owner would like to deal.... he claims 84mph... any thoughts on that with this engine and drive pkg?

Boat looks clean from what I saw. Think he is asking 89/85K Only thing I wasn't a fan of is the way the GPS was mounted in the cabin then swung out. Good solid package. I never put shorties on but always wanted to try it. The more I trimmed up the faster I would go. I talked to Bob about it said he tried all combos and the way it set up stock was best. Id still be curious as to how the - helped or hurt.

If your asking me, Id say a bit high with it stock never any motor work done for maintenance. I liked bigger power for the hull as they will take any thing you put in it. The drives as we all know are the weak link. My power was who knows but ran 85.1 1 time. Ran 84 a few times but 83 everyday of the week. Supposed 600s. I spoke with another owner his 575 boat runs 85 so a 500 boat running 84 either isn't stock or doesn't run 84 on GPS but hopefully you ran it and GPS'd it.

I was lucky enough to catch a ride on Mike's and it was one of my favorite boats I've ridden in. Let alone the solid bolsters, the steering wheel didn't budge when you set the boat on a straight path, it just held and the boat flew over whatever was in its way...it was awesome. Speeds seem pretty accurate from what I've read about other 36's with similar HP500 packages. Post some pics of yours when you can!
