I saw one a while back that had a remote-mounted resevoir/tank. It was mounnted on a bulkhead. I think you're really talking about the Heat Exchanger aren't you?

Re: I need a holding reservoir for closed cooling
I just ordered the heat exchangers from American Industries. They are the manufacturers of Teagues Oil Cooler. Copper-Nickel construction with the ability to mount anywhere from any angle. This was my main issue with VictoryMarines kit.
It is the Surge Reservoir that allows burping and refilling that I need. It must be mounted above the highest point of the engine water jacket if I am not mistaken.
I think I found one at Lenco heat exchangers. Any experts out there who wish to educate me further, please do so.

For those interested in Heat exchangers, www.aihti.com
has great technical information. after discussing my application with a staff engineer, I went with the AA 1024 with the copper nickel option.
They have all stainless units but the engineer said the brass body was superior in corrosion resistance.
