slow to get on plane
I've got a 95 33' powerplay sport deck with hp 500 carb motors, bravo's with hydro 28p. Motors have about 50 hrs and are running great. I typically try to ease her up on plane but as i come up to about 2500rpm the props start to blow out and the r's jump up to 3k. Then i back it down till they hook up and try again. I've got the drives tucked all the way in and the tabs down. She eventually comes up on plane but i see other boats just hammer it out of the hole and there off and running. Am i doing something wrong or should i try different props? The performance is great once up on plane. My buddy even commented on the midrange punch she has. This is really a minor problem but i'd like her to pop up a little faster.

Re: slow to get on plane
well i may have just figured this out, I was reading over in the prop talk section that hydromotive quad IV's are a little slower getting up on plane. May have to try a set of bravos???

Sounds like you are running some high X dimensions. I wouldn't change a thing. Your most likely at the best height for top speed. Whats your slip at?
