The New York City Powerboat Poker Run 2006!!!

“As Seen on TV”

Saturday June 17th, 2006 at High Noon



The prestigious New York City Powerboat Poker Run 2006 will take place on the Hudson River on Saturday, June 17th at 12:00 Noon. This Annual Boating Extravaganza, filmed and broadcasted internationally, will feature over 175 “state of the art” Speedboats and Cruisers in what has grown to be one of the largest boating events in America. The who’s who of performance boats and cruisers will be there including Outerlimits, Chief, Atlantis, Cigarette, Formula, MTI, Fountain, Sutphen, Eliminator, Sonic, Skater, Eliminator, Hustler, Powerquest, Sea Ray, Baja, Spectre, Force, Phantom, Velocity, Sunseeker, Nor-Tech, Black Thunder, Advantage, and more.



The National Powerboat Association is proud to announce our program. We have our headquarters at Liberty Landing Marina in Liberty State Park, in Jersey City, New Jersey, with breathtaking views of Lower Manhattan’s Financial District, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. This expanded facility will give us room for many boating concessions, our Powerboat Show, and land displays, as well as dock space. This show has become America’s most exciting boating event, in America’s largest and most exciting city.



The Festivities
The excitement begins as crews from around the nation begin to arrive at the Liberty Landing Marina. The “Good Voyage” Cocktail Party will start dockside at 6:00 pm at Liberty Landing Marina, Friday, June 16th, 2006.

The Main Event


The fleet will leave from the famous Liberty Landing Marina at the Liberty State Park, home to our Lady Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Starting with a spectacular view of the Manhattan Skyline, boaters will parade North on the Hudson River until the Official start at the George Washington Bridge.



The event will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday June 17th with a Captain’s Meeting at Liberty Landing Marina just opposite the Manhattan’s Financial District. All powerboats are invited to discover this experience of a lifetime! There is a five-hour limit to complete the breath taking 75-mile course. The rain date will be Sunday, June 18th.



The event will consist of 4 waves of participants:

· The 100+ mph Club

· The Speedboat Club

· The Sportboat Club

· The Cruiser’s Club

Four clearly marked World Class Paceboats will lead each group of

participants to a breath taking start up the Hudson River!



“The Playing Cards”

1. Liberty Landing Marina

2. The Ossining Boat and Canoe Club

3. The Haverstraw Marina

4. Liberty Landing Marina



The playing cards will be opened at the finish line, Liberty Landing Marina.

All contestants must turn in their cards by 5 PM for a 6 PM presentation.















The Awards Ceremony


Immediately after the exciting 75-mile course the awards ceremony will begin at 2 PM. . At 6 PM., Trophies and prize money will be awarded to:
ª The Best Looking Boat

ªThe Queen of the Hudson

§The Best Poker Hand for a first prize of $5000.00



The party continues “a la carte” with refreshments and food at Liberty Landing Marina.



Accommodations
The Official Event Hotel is The Doubletree Club Suites,

located at 455 Washington Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07310.

For reservations call:

201-499-2400 and mention NY Poker Run2006 or Group Code NYP to get the group rate: $155.00 for 1-2 people in a room; $165.00 for 3-4 people in a room. The room block is from June 15 to June 19, 2006.

· Reservations a must! (Last year was a sell out)

· A maximum of 2 rooms can be reserved by each individual.

· Parking fee $10.00 per day

· Reservation Deadline May 20th,. 2006.



The NYC Poker Run 2006 Entry



¨ Entry Fee: $700.00

Entry Includes

· 1 Poker Hand entry for the $5,000.00 Grand Prize

· 2 tickets to the Friday Night Party Liberty Landing Marina and Park

· 2 tickets to the Saturday Award Party Liberty Landing Marina

· Additional Party tickets are $25.00 each for each party

· Dockage at the Liberty Landing Marina, Thursday thru Sunday (6/15 to 6/18)

· Discount at the DoubleTree Club Suites Hotel.

· Food, Refreshments, Entertainment at parties

August 26th, 2006 (NEW DATE/Time Slot)

The 6th Annual

GLEN COVE HI-STAKES POKER AND RADAR RUN
…the Largest Purse on the circuit

and the Fastest Cats and Fastest-V’s determined by an

OFFICIAL RADAR RUN.

$500.00 Entry Fee gets you 2 hands in the game for the $10,000.00 Purse, Food, Refreshments, and Entertainment.



October 8th, 2006

…and concluding the season with our famous

"Brunch Run Around NEW YORK CITY"
