Should the Thunderbolt IV have a resistor ignition wire or direct 12v from the key switch?

TBIV has special coil that runs on straight 12v from the battery. Battery should be at full charge.

No resistor or resistor wire with TBolt IV.
BTW, a regular GM external resistor coil (about $9) will work fine. Ran it for years like that. Last I checked, the Tbolt ciols were over $40.
