Default Neutral, toe in or toe out?

I have heard all of the above for setting up dual drives with external full hydraulic steering. I spoke with the factory and they indicated to set it at neutral (parallel to each other). What is the benefit if any to change from this setting? Also, when someone says set it for 1/16" toe out where is it 1/16" longer - at prop shaft end or at front of bullet?

Thanks,
Rick

The toe in or out is done to take up the slack from the torque of the lower unit trying to twist. That will depend if you are spinning in or out. It not always needed if you have a beefy steering system. Toe out is the front of the lower unit out further than the prop shaft. I run neutral.

Thanks Brad,
I am spinning in and have a pretty heavy duty wing plate assy. on #5 drives. So if needed would I setup with toe out?

You might call Brian at XS Performance Marine for more insight on this.
