Give more details on your ignition system. By MSD, do you mean the Pro-Billet distributor and MSD 6M-2? Or somethign else? The first thing to check regardless of your system is power to the coil. If you have an MSD6M-2, check for power and ground there also. If that is good, I would by-pass the MSD box. They are a bit tempermental.

Yes that is what I have the 6m-2 I was told from MSD customer service to check the resistence out of the cap. Yes I do have a Billet distributor. Where do I check to see if I have any voltage out of the coil on the 2 leads on the top?

Have you pulled the distributor cap off to see if there is any corossion under it? If the pick up is rusted to beat it wont pick up a signal.
Also check the positive and negitive wires like you already mentioned.

Let us know.

Check for constant 12 volts at the heavy red wire and for ground at the heavy black wire that go into the MSD box. Check for ignition 12 volts at the small red wire going to the MSD box. Then check for ignition 12 volts at the orange wire going to the coil. That about covers all the powers and grounds. Hope this helps..
