I have two regular rotation drives. I heard a little roomer that a guy ran one in reverse and esentially made himself a counter rotating drive. Is this possible? or would it wreck something?

i dont think its that right way to do it, sell your and get the correct rotation, or can the gears be swapped in your drive to make it rotate the other direction?

If its an Alpha or a trs its not cool to run those in reverse as a full time fwd. The way the gears are cut in an alpha you will essentually be pushing the gears apart rather than pulling them together. The trs is different because you can run the transmission in reverse under a heavy load like that, it will burn up clutches after a very short time.

thanks guys, I think I will just go with the counter rotating lower. I found one on ebay for $1500.00. Just wanted to see if it would hurt the drive. What you are sayin makes sense so ickna on the backwards.

Bravos are essentially run in reverse for left hand rotation. Early Volvos are that way too , don't know about later ones
