Default fuel filter

I have a 1992 baja 240, what I want to do is change the fuel filter. What I thought should be easy enough isn't. Is there a pressure release somewere, because I can't seem to get the fuel filter off. Thanks for any suggestions.

It was put on to damn tight and probably did not have a smidge of grease on the gasket, you may end up crushing it to finally get it off. If you puncture it let the gas fully dry up and have an extinguiser handy before going at it again! Never To Safe!
