Water pump inlet/outlet
On the sea water pump of HP500EFI w/standard rotation (clockwise) what is the sea water inlet? Top or bottom?
Can`t get pressure either way and it is hard to read on the back of the pump...

Re: Water pump inlet/outlet
I haven`t been out with the impeller. Just putting on a new hose for a friend, he took it out to get a new one and took of both without noticing where they went. It`s a realy narrow space and I can`t make out what it says on the back of the pump.
The pump is located down on the starboard side of the engine, it has the mec. fuel pump on the top. It is a stock Merc. HP500EFI pump.
I won't run the engine before I know I got it right.
