Default Bravo One Lower Unit removal

I have a Bravo One 1993. I want to take off the lower unit to have a nose cone put on. How difficult is doing the removal myself? I am fairly good with tools and basic repair. I guess my main concern is really putting it back on to make sure all the gears work and aeverything lines up and connects correctly.

You can easily pull the whole drive off,the thing that sucks is your wrestling around 130 lbs. You can also pull just your lower off the upper by unbolting 7 bolts that hold upper to lower. Drain your oil, trim unit all the way up,pop small cap off very back of lower, unbolt the 1/2 inch headed bolt hidden in the hole that holds round zinc on rear of lower and hides the 5/8 headed bolt that holds back together, take the other 5/8 sized nuts off lower evenly and slide lower off upper, replace the 3 o-rings that are on the lower and make sure you have the coupler on shaft and don't disturb the thrust washers or collar on vert shaft, you can bolt it back on in 15 minutes when your ready,Smitty

I did mine on the boat. Used an extra trailer cover strap with some marine epoxy supplied w/ the nose cone. After applying epoxy, used the strap to cinch it down tight and allowed to cure overnight. Then, blended w/ bondo, sanded and repainted. Also made sure the speedo pickup tube orifice was open. Screwed up speedo reading, however, due to difference in pressures...
