I have had a ball with my new nickerson 1050 carb with it and the 2''shortie I picked up 9mph has anyone had them do any motor work, they seem real good and said they could do work to my heads pick more hp, they are merlin 310 sq port. I am in mass so they are 6 hour drive which isn't bad. thanks ART

That is a Big Gain!! Congrats!! It would take 150 to 200hp to gain that kind of speed. Your drive must have been deep. I have had Nickerson do my carb also. But I didn't see that kind of gains. I haven't had motor work done by them, but I would have if I would have been closer. I think they are very capable and very helpful in all aspects of going faster! KN

I highly recommend Nickerson. Dean and his boys have been in the game for a very long time and know how to make power reliably. tomcat and I spent more than a few days at the Nickerson dyno making history with his Supercooler.

Really nice folks, cool shop, dog friendly.

Thumbs up Re: motor work by nickerson

oh yah before the nickerson carb my engine builder set it up with a bg 850 jetting was good for dyno way to lean for boat I was hitting a wall at 5100rpm 74mph maybe 75mph had a hand held gps back then. the nick is 88, 92s and yes the drive was deep ,the 26b1 didn't handle good went back to a 25mirage , yep I hope to burn more fuel off and see what I can hit for top speed maybe 85 I need to get the rest of the steering done too, my left arm keeps tightening up I was fighting the counter steer once over 70
