Bravo 1 X leak - thoughts?
I had my drives pulled, flushed and engine alignment check last winter. Boat was only used a hand full of times in 06, about 15 hours.
I have been overseas the last few months and returned this weekend to find a small seepage/leak from the center stud on the drive. My mechanic is off on Sunday so what do you drive guys think?
Could it just be loose?
Thanks, Bryan

Most likely the seal behind the cap is leaking. See attched link, part #2..

Bryan,
If the cap is not torqued down evenly, it can sit funny, top to bottom.. but the main thing is the seal behind the cap. Right above that bolt is the detent for the shift lever, which will put pressure on the lower cap. I would slightly loosen all the bolts.. and then retorque them.. Careful the drive lube is in the upper portion of the cap. Then clean it with Mineral spirits and see if it leaks again.. Next oil change pull the cap and clean it and check the gasket.. it is similar to an oring, but different shape..
Hope this helps..
