#6 wet sumps, what kind of oil?
Just curious about what kind of oil people are using that have wet sump #6's. I've always used the Merc (Torco). Also, what is the exact capacity. I thinks it's like 4.5 gallons or something like that.

Re: #6 wet sumps, what kind of oil?
Correction....When we drained the fluid, it was Merc HiPo (green). I replaced it with that. 52 hours and it still looked new and 10 gallons of it is about 50% less than the Torco. I figure that I'm not stressing that drive since cutting the HP in half than the previous engines and I like the fact that the Merc fluid will aborb some water if it happens to get in there. Plus, I wasn't too sure that I wanted to change from what has been in there the whole time. Only a bad seal will kill 'em.
