What heads do you have. How much do they flow now? Have they been ported. Who ported them?

Brodix.
Nor Tech 850s straight out of the box I'll bet. Maybe port matched.
100 hp without any other changes would be hard on these motors.

Do you know which Brodix Head? Big Brodie maybe? How big are the motors in CI and are they blower motors? What size primary tubes on the headers.

What makes you say 100hp will be hard on the motors?

Yep, blower motors. I would think a cam change would also be needed to take advantage of more flow and gain any real hp.

I think it would be hard to gain 100hp with just port work and no other changes.
Big Brodie, 598 cid, 14-71 no coolers, Small tube CMIs.

604 cubic inch block, big tube cmi's , 14-71 bds at 4 lbs boost . have talked to 3 engine builders on oso, they have told me 80-100hp is expected for 750$-1000$ per motor, what do you guys think porting and upsizing would do for me?

It depends on the head castings and cam. 600 inches is a lot of motor to feed. It's going to need a lot of airflow going in and out. A big mistake a lot of builders make is to install a cnc generic exhaust port on a big inch motor. The best to my knowledge every head manufacturer has numerous choices for volume and valve sizes on the intake side. I don't know of any options on the exhaust side. Keep in mind most of the aftermarket heads were designed for drag racing back when a 500 inch motor was big cubic inches. You have a great start with the big tubes but you will need a high flowing exhaust port to take advantage of them.

have now spoke with 3 excellent engine builders and it seems this is a great choice to gain hp for the $, extra 250-300hp will push 7-10mph on my top end, thanks
