Default Theory: Blower or SC on heavy boats?

I am new to performance boating and have some questions:

1)- can a whipple or blower be used on a heavy boat or one that that has surface drives that need lots of torque to get the vessel on plane?

2) are all blower motors running 92 octane or can they use the crap they pump at marinas?

Thanks

1) Sure

2) Most use higher octane pump fuel. Some can be detuned to run lower octane.
