Default timing chain choice

looked on line summit racing and there are only about 100 to choose from. My build is a mark 4 509cid n/a. billet?hexajust?double roller? true roller? 3 keyways? jeez..... no i cant afford jesel belt system.

gear drive is fine as long as its not noisy. any particular brand you like? any benefit to using instead of chain?

Don't hold me to this but i think i read some where that they are making a non noisy system now. The benefit is you will never get slack. That being said i use a cloyes true roller that i got from jegs.

Hamburger with the torrington bearings,and a cam button ya wont be sorry. Ran them in drag boats for years,up to 9,000 RPM.Seem like they don't stretch as fast or as bad as most,not to bad on the pocket book either. Just my 2cents JOHN

Rollmaster makes a nice double roller with a torrington bearing that has 9 keyways in the crank gear. It allows you to easily install the cam wherever you want. It has both a billet crank and cam gear. It runs about 100 bucks.
