Default BBC Build question

Topend for my 509 shortblock which is zero deck with flattop pistons which have a -4.5cc valve relief i am considering using a .038 gasket and 110cc Canfield 310 heads with a Edelbrock air-Gap RECT port intake and 1"HVH spacer with a stock Demon 850. What would my CR be? I figured it at 9.4 with a basic CR calculator i found online but i want to make sure. Also what would be an ideal cam choice for this build? I currently have a 741 sitting in the garage. We have 93 octane readily available where i live. Flow numbers from canfield are

Intake Exhaust
.100 72 74
.200 138 123
.300 204 176
.400 266 205
.500 318 237
.600 347 260
.700 353 273

THANKS for your input. It is greatly appreciated.More questions to come such as ring gap, timing, etc. Feel free to be all inclusive with your responses.

Default Re: BBC Build question

I'm using a custom cam that is 236/240 @ .050 .630 lift 113lsa in 540's with AFR 335 cnc heads. My heads have been worked on by Jim V and flow an actual 380 in.290 ex at .600 lift. With exhausts that flow as well as these heads, you don't need as much ex.duration as an off the shelf cam. I initially wanted to try an even split 236/236 but the cam tech talked me out of it because I was running cast alum. headers. Now that I have CMI's, I might try it. Btw you made a good choice with the Canfields. Very good heads. I might go with a Dart single plane intake though. Your engine will want to make hp at about 5600+ rpm and you'll want it to get enough air. If you can always get 93 I might think about using the new SRP line of pistons with the 10cc dome. Your compression would be about 10to 1 Use a Arizona speed and marine 120 degree thermostat and get the jetting right and it will be just fine.
