Thanks Guys, But it would be for a "Race Application" - I'm looking into a #3 drive now or maybe lowering the boost.

If you plan to race, the XR and 750hp is bad news. Even being very careful will blow the drive before too long. Been there

Yep, so it looks. The owner said it has IMCO uppers inside, but that still may not be enough.

Smitty, what about that coating/treatment that you tested on your gears last fall that you were impressed with?----won't that save the day???

I have a customer running a 26' Velocity with a blower motor, I believe he is in the 750-800hp (roots type blower) range and has two seasons on his, since I have seen it in my shop. I also have a customer with 1400hp and 15 hard passes on it this summer, 25' H2X Baja.. looked great when I pulled it down this winter.. So it all depends!!

Just my .02

The gear treatment is one of the many things that needs to be done to a drive along with every other possible upgrade. Its not going to keep stock parts from catstrophicly failing.Their are numerous upgrades that need to be done to get any kind of real life out of a bravo drive,no way around it,they are not cheap and sooner or later it will still break, especially in a racing enviroment. If a guy is starting with a clean slate and is going to spend some serious coin ONCE, start with something stronger if your goal is all out ,trouble free racing, a few wot passes around a lake and cruising don't compare to non-stop abuse that racing puts on parts,Smitty
