27 Excalibur?
I am looking for a single engine wave crusher project boat and I thought this may be a good candidate.
Does anybody know anything about this boat?

Is there anything to look out for in the 27's specifically? How do they handle power in the 700hp range? 84 was pre Wellcraft correct? Also were there any kevlar 27's made?
Thanks guys.

I owned a 81 27 Excalibur. Loved it!!!!! Awsome boat. Mine was a true Excalibur and was referred to as a Flat deck and had the exhaust coming out of the deck above the transom.. I beleive what you are looking at in the add is a raised deck and may be Wellcraft. I can't remember but maybe Excalibur did make the 27 in a raised deck towads the end. Anyway the flat deck is way cooler. Mine had 450 horse and would be no problem in 4-5 footers. Very narrow beam though. Knew a guy who had the same boat as mine. His was black and it had a 1000 HP twin intercooled trubo 540 motor in it with a speedmaster drive. I ran incredible.
good luck!!!
