Default 496 Stroker - Stock fuel pump or larger?

A Gen IV 496 stroker, 850 Demon carb on a Dart intake with Lightning headers.

Do I use my existing seawater/fuel pump setup, or do I go electric or other?

Thanks in advance

The stock pump would probably just make it. You can buy different bodys and leave the pump mounted on the sea pump. Carter, holley and some others all make interchangable pumps. Then you can raise the pressure and change the fittings to braided if desired.

John

Here is an example from Summit Racing. You can take the pump body off the top and put it on yours. Just 6 screws and there ya go!

Be careful, your on the edge. I was running stock pumps on my 496 with Holley 830's. Everything was good. I switched to the Holley 950 HP series, Then I didn't have enough fuel. I changed my pumps to the Holley black, I think there rated at 140gph. Everything is good now.
