Default Rusty water leaking from outdrive...

I found rusty water coming from my low water pickup Bravo. After the weekend I parked the boat and put the drive down, water drained from the drive like it usually does. But two days later I found a trail of rusty water coming from the low water pickup. It's orange like Georgia clay...what could this be from?

The rust has to be what is draining from the block. Everything else is Alum. SS., rubber, brass, or plastic.

Mine will drip for days.

Ran it for the first time after fresh rebuild of the motor...anything I should be concerned about?

When you say drip for days, do you mean rust?

No rust, just water drips.

Possibly with it being a fresh rebuild, the rust is from the block and heads being hot tanked and possibly bead blasted and the insides are freshly exposed bare metal???

I'd think it may quit after a couple of times once they get a scale on the insides built up.
