Smile Pretty - It's Photo Run Time!
Get REVVVVVVED UP!
The Rev Limiter – CPC/ Image Chicago Magazine Photo Run Edition
Time to stop running the mouths and start running the motors! Saturday June 9th is the day for the first on-water event for the 2007 Chicago Powerboat Club, and you WON’T want to miss it! HERE’S THE DETAILS!
The Date: Saturday, June 9th, 2007
The Place: Jackson Park Inner Harbor, Southern Shore Yacht Club
The Time: BE THERE at 10 am!
The Cost: $50 per boat
The Skinny: We will be rafting up in Jackson Park’s Inner Harbor (just go under the bridge at the far left of the outer harbor) at the Southern Shore Yacht Club. Get there before 10, or as close to it as you can, because we’ve got to stay on schedule for the helicopter. At 10:30 we will have a short meeting, outlining the exact route of the day and the safety precautions necessary for running in a large group. We have to be ON THE WATER by 11:15, and on the lake and formed up by 11:45 to rendezvous with the helicopter. We will then proceed as a group and be filmed and photographed, hopefully with the result of getting some great footage of your boat! The group will end up at the vaunted “Chicago Playpen,” “Crib,” “Olive Park,” or whatever you want to call it, where we will be rafting up to each other directly behind the large cruisers that will be out for the Image Chicago magazine boat party. The helicopter will continue to take pictures, hopefully to be published in the magazine! So bring your anchors and your fenders and some food and drink to enjoy the party with the CPC crew.
A special THANK YOU to our newest club and event sponsor, Image Chicago Magazine (www.imagechicago.com), which will be providing coverage of this event AND the Chicago Poker Run. Glad to have you aboard, enjoy the ride!

Some of the "real" good pics will come from the raft off party in the playpen after we're done running. I just posted a few in the NIOC club section under the "come play on the big pond" thread, from last years party.

Yes, 1 boat at a time. That way, each boat will have more "footage" time. We are shooting digital pics, and we have a videographer that will be using a camera with a directional mic. This way, he will be able to pick up all the sound from the engines of the boats, and not the noise from the blades and rotors.
If any of the boaters want to be filmed with 2 or 3 boats running together, that can be arranged also. This can be discussed at the drivers meeting before we head out to the lake.
