Default Oil Filter for 700 Sci

Time to change the oil, dont want to pay 57.00 for a Mercury marine oil filter. Tried crossing the Mercury part # with Wix, Fram, and Amsoil. Looks like a HP-6 Fram. What oil filter will replace it?

(j/k- have to pull your leg some how since all your toys are better than mine- did you hear I won 2nd in the poker run this past weekend- 2nd win in 4 years for me!!)
You dont keep buying new boats for long if you pay $57.00 for $9.00 oil filters. Mercury has gotten enough of my money. How many boats ran Tims run? Your a lucky S.O.B., you will need that money to buy 2 Stroke oil.

The EU662 , HP700SCI, HP850SCI all use that expensive filter..not sure what the deal is..it may have something to do with the dry sump oil lube system they all use...but that is one VERY expensive oil filter!

So what is everyone using in place of the Merc. Racing filter, P/N:35-840634K01? I need to either order (2) of these BIG $$ filters or use a good alternative?
Thanks,
Dean

Is the WIX P/N: 51222R a good alternative to the Merc Filter?
Thanks,
Dean
