Angry Eddie Marine exhuast Tips

Does anyone else have trouble keeping flappers in these things? I replace at least one a year. They cost over $20 apiece plus the labor to remove and install them. It starting to piss me off and wondered if anyone else was experiencing the same.

Both of mine flew out after only a few hours, I sent them back to E.M. and they re-welded new ones in, they have been in there for over 100 hours and no problems. What pisses me off is that they leak, I have drip stains down the inside of the transom and on long runs get a bit of water in the bilge.
