what is best rpm for top end on 525SC
i have a 95 formula 336 with 525sc's
props are Mercury racing lab finished 24" bravos
drives are 1.36
what is the best peak rpm on 525sc for top end.
I am currently at 5000 at 72mph.
is the rpm good, or should I drop or raise any when I tweak the labbing.

Run it at 5200rpms. WOT range is 4800-5200. After getting mine completely dialed in, I consistently ran it between 5100 and 5300 depending on fuel load and air temps. Rev limiters will kick in at 5300-5350.

I have mercury racing labbed bravo 1's right now and am running 5000.
If I drop the pitch some to get to 5200, will I see a top end gain? ( since they are already labbed)
I was actually considering adding slightly more pitch or cup to gain some top end since I am currently in the middle of the rpm band.
Julie at Throttle up recommended 5200 also. Just want to gain consensus on the sweet spot for the 525sc's
thanks

Best bet is to tweak them to run 5200rpms. I definately would not add pitch and lower the rpms. It puts more load on the engines and increases the risk of detonation.
There are other solutions
Run a smaller blower pulley. I ran mine with a smaller pulley for 275 hrs and was pushing 7.5# of boost. It had the smaller pulley on it when I bought it, so I'm not sure how much difference it made.
Also, when I rebuilt the top end, I went with a 731 roller cam and gained about 100rpms.
