How early in the day do you have to get to Diversey to get a parking spot for the truck and trailer? Does this ramp fill up fast?

Usually by 11:30am or so its pretty full on a weekend.

The ramps stay available / open pretty well, the staff keeps people moving in and out pretty good.

Jamie, I think we'll be spinning through with Team Bad Influence...me, BZ, Obnoxus, and possibly Little Dennis. I'll call BZ...he'll probably be able to help with the passengers.

Hey Jamie,
Were you out there yesterday?
Joe (MILD THUNDER) and I were both out there with our old Excaliburs rafted together but we didn't see you.

I don't usually check the board on weekends so I didn't see your post. I launched out of Diversy and could have taken some cargo!

That was my first time launching from Diversy, that was easy, and the crew there really does a great job of keeping people moving!

Now the traffing going home on the Kennedy heading towards the circle interchange was another story: 3 miles per hour!

Zanie-
Jamie was out rafted off of myself and Obnoxus. We were just to the south of the boom-booom-boom hula-hoop party boats.
Great day on the lake for sure!
Sucks to be BZ...hung over and at home!

OOPPS! I guess that explains why we didn't see you, we rafted north of the boom-booom-boom hula-hoop party boats, maybe 50 -75 yards.
DOH!!

I guess next time we should spend a little more time trolling thru the fleet.

It was a great day to be out on Lake Michigan!
Hopefully, we'll get a few more nice weekends.

It was a real nice day to be out. Playpen had a good crowd. I think we may have a few good weekends left

In that relatively flat water, I bet you were a little bit faster, no ? You guys are close in top speeds I seem to recall.

Dan,

Yes I was, rafted with Mike and Dennis. What a great day we had, and then we watched the sun set behind the backdrop of Chicago, awesome.

I had attrition of (5) girls who were out partying late and they couldnt make an early start so I didnt need a second boat. Thanks though.

And FWIW - my highly touted Box Anchor could NOT hold for sh/it in the weeds of the Playpen ! :angry-smiley-055:

Time for another Danforth :angry-smiley-044:

I picked up a cheapy Fluke style anchor kit for 90 bucks. Never a problem in the playpen. The only problem is it brings up a entire garden of sea weeds with it when its time to go.
